Syracuse, N.Y. — Storms will roll into Syracuse Saturday night and a flood watch is in effect for Central New York.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, Cortland, southern Cayuga and Broome counties. Storms are expected to start Saturday evening with possible “heavy rainfall” and flash floods, weather officials said.
The storms could be accompanied by strong to severe winds that could possibly cause damage.
The rest of Central New York will see storms and some areas are under a flood watch: Otsego, Delaware and Sullivan counties.
This comes after parts of New York state saw flooding in the past week. The town of Long Lake in the Adirondacks declared a state of emergency after homes, roads, dams and bridges were damaged by flooding.
Sunday will continue with more storms and possible flash floods, officials said.
