The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a drug arrest was made in the town of Hopewell, while investigators were conducting a separate investigation.
Michael Waller, 32, of Hilton was arrested after plain clothes undercover investigators were conducting surveillance on an unrelated investigation.
Deputies said in a news release that Waller approached two of the officers there and asked if they were interested in purchasing drugs.
He ultimately sold 13 Xanax bars to the undercover officers, then sold narcotics to another male in the parking lot. That drug was determined to be crack cocaine.
All told, Waller was arrested on multiple criminal sale of a controlled substance charges – including a felony count.
He was arraigned and will answer the charges at a later date.
