The Basketball Tournament 2023, a.k.a. TBT 2023, plays its first Round of 16 games today, including Heartfire vs. Mass Street in the Wichita, Kansas regional on Sunday, July 23 (7/23/2023).
Three games in the Round of 16 and Round are slated for Sunday in the Wichita and Lubbock regionals, including No. 2 Heartfire vs. No. 1 Mass Street (Kansas) at 3 p.m. on ESPNU, streaming on fuboTV (free trial). Select games are also exclusive to ESPN+. Here’s a full schedule for Day 5, all times ET:
- Game 25: (2) Bleed Green vs (4) The Enchantment (New Mexico) – Sweet 16 (Lubbock), Sunday, 07/23, 1:00 PM on ESPN+
- Game 26: (1) Mass Street (Kansas) vs (2) Heartfire – Sweet 16 (Wichita), Sunday, 07/23, 3:00 PM on ESPNU. Stream on fuboTV (free trial).
- Game 27: (1) AfterShocks (Wichita State) vs (3) Team Arkansas (Arkansas) – Sweet 16 (Wichita), Sunday, 07/23, 5:00 PM on ESPNU. Stream on fuboTV (free trial).
Mass Street, comprised of former Kansas alumni like Dedric Lawson, Brandon Rush and Thomas Robinson, picked up a 69-65 win over the Show Me Squad in the Round of 32. Now they’ll square off with tournament staple, Team Heartfire, with TBT veterans like Marcus Hall, Raphiael Putney, and Craig Sword.
What is The Basketball Tournament?
The Basketball Tournament is an open application summer basketball tournament with a $1 million winner-take-all final prize. Many teams in the tournament are organized around the schools the players attended, such as the Boeheim’s Army team, comprised of Syracuse University Men’s Basketball alumni such as Jimmy Boeheim, Rakeem Christmas, Andrew White III and more.
Teams are divided into eight seeded regionals to progress through the bracket.
