SMITHTOWN, L.I. — South Shore picked up a big win to wrap up pool play in the New York State 10s All-Star Softball Tournament on Sunday night. The Staten Islanders belted out 10 hits in a 15-4 victory over North Colombia LL.
The Tottenville loop collected the No. 2 seed in the elimination round and will be back in action on Monday at 11:30 a.m. when it meets Penfield LL. The victor of that contest will square off against Lagrange LL in the second end of a doubleheader, with the winner of that contest advancing to Tuesday’s state final.
