New York State Police are turning to the public for assistance in a two-decade-old unsolved missing persons case. The case pertains to Sandra Sollie, a pregnant woman from Macedon, who vanished under suspicious circumstances 22 years ago.
Sollie, a white woman, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds with brown eyes and dark brown hair, was last seen in the Ames Plaza, Route 31, Macedon, New York on May 23, 1994, at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Sollie, born on December 10, 1955, was seven months pregnant at the time of her disappearance. Her vehicle was later discovered at her residence on Route 350 in Macedon, New York. Oddly, her six-year-old black male poodle also went missing around the same time. A few pieces of evidence related to the case were found subsequently; Sollie’s wallet was discovered in bushes off Reed Street in Rochester, and her dog’s collar was located in a dumpster in Penfield, New York.
Despite the passing of over two decades and numerous interviews conducted, the case has remained cold with no positive leads or substantial breakthroughs. Sandra Sollie’s whereabouts remain unknown to date.
Given the enduring mystery surrounding the case, New York State Police are now urging anyone with any information related to Sollie’s disappearance to come forward. Those with relevant information are asked to contact the New York State Police at 585-398-4100.
