The Wayne County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved an $8.5 million deal with Spectrum to significantly expand high-speed broadband access.
The project was reported by the Finger Lakes Times on Monday, and serves as a landmark move to provide internet service to unserved or underserved regions of the county.
It is expected to start this year and conclude by the end of 2025.
This initiative includes $8 million from federal infrastructure legislation and $500,000 from the county itself.

FingerLakes1.com is the regionโs leading all-digital news publication. The company was founded in 1998 and has been keeping residents informed for more than two decades. Have a lead? Send it to [emailย protected].
