
It’s Subway Series time.
The Yankees and Mets will meet for the third time in 2023 as the series gets underway tonight at Yankee Stadium at 7:05 p.m.
The Bronx Bombers are coming off a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals. It’s the first sweep for the Yankees since they went into Cincinnati and did so against the Reds nearly two months ago in late May.

After winning their series opener versus the Boston Red Sox, the Mets dropped the last two games of the series and were outscored 14-7. They’re now 4-5 since the All-Star Break and have the second worst road record in the National League (23-31).
The two teams split the first Subway Series matchup in Queens last month when the Yankees won 7-6 in come-from-behind fashion on June 13 while the Mets were victorious 4-3 in extra innings the following night.
