Tom Baxter was a little league lifer. The long-time Penfield LL volunteer was what Little League embodies. He held every position imaginable during his more than 50 years of service to the Rochester, N.Y. loop. From coach, manager, director, field coordinator, administrator and all-around do-everything guy, he was a staple at the field day and night.
Baxter passed away this past May at the age of 81 and his passing has left a void in the league. Penfield LL has representation in all three boys state tournaments (10s, 11s and 12s) and each team has the initials T.B. on the backs of its jerseyโs honoring the leaguesโ former president.
