In a disturbing incident in Pompey, New York, a mother stabbed her two daughters and a son before taking her own life, as confirmed by Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick.
The tragic episode transpired in the morning when, according to Sheriff Toby Shelley, one of the injured teenagers sought help from neighbors who then alerted the authorities.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office and other local agencies, including SWAT and drone units, secured the area and subsequently discovered the mother’s body with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The three stabbed children, rushed to the hospital, are expected to survive, with one already discharged. Currently, all three are under their father’s care. The entire incident, unfolding over two hours, occurred at Oran Delphi Road in Pompey.
Authorities are still investigating the case.
