Airing on the Discovery Channel at 8 p.m. EST, Sunday, July 30, “Naked and Afraid: Castways” is the edgy, high-stakes spin-off of the iconic 15-season “Naked and Afraid” that fans have been waiting for.
“Naked and Afraid: Castaways” has a similar premise to “Naked and Afraid.” Participants are stranded on a remote island and must survive in the wilderness for three weeks. The difference, according to sportskeeda.com, unlike in the original series, contestants on this show will have no maps or tools aiding their survival — making the task of persisting through the unknown territory more difficult than ever before.

Those who make it all the way through the three weeks of surviving the outdoors will be the reoccurring winners, as all of the contestants are previous winners of “Naked and Afraid,” including Andrew Shayde from season 12 and Justin Governale from the most recent season of the show.
Along with fighting for survival, the show’s trailer hints at a bit of tension and drama along the way.
