Happy Friday morning in New York City and if you had high hopes for Brooklyn’s natural wine and erotica bar, I have some disappointing news for you.
As Hell Gate reported, the Boerum Hill wine bar, named after erotica author Anaรฏs Nin, not only lacks on its promise of “skin-contact chardonnay and vintage erotica,” but it barely delivers on its promise of being a bar in the most general sense.
Here’s what else is happening:
- The price of admission at the Guggenheim Museum is set to go up to $30, making it one of the most expensive museums to visit in the country.
- You know what else is expensive? Papa John’s pizza. The company had been dealing with a largely compliant customer base in recent years who stuck around despite rising prices. But now, those customers are pushing back.
- Actually, everything is expensive these days, including weddings. With the average cost to tie the knot clocking now at $30,000, some couples are turning to renting flowers, jewelry and more to cut costs.
- I bet this apartment is also expensive.
- Dogs are truly special, and studies continue to prove it. This recent one found that interacting with a pup, even if itโs one you briefly encounter on the street, helps ease stress and boost happiness.
- One extra-special dog will forever be remembered at the 9/11 museum. Sirius, a Port Authority K-9 cop, died on Sept. 11 while bravely waiting for his human partner to return to him in the South Tower of the World Trade Center, which ultimately collapsed. His memory was honored with a plaque at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
