NYPD: Man sought for questioning after boy, 11, is touched in Staten Island Ferry terminal bathroom

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating a man sought for questioning after an 11-year-old boy was touched inside the bathroom at Whitehall Terminal in Manhattan.

It was reported to police that the 11-year-old victim was inside the restroom of the Staten Island Ferry terminal at around 9:20 p.m. on Monday when an individual grabbed his waist and told him to pull down his pants, according to a written statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Police said the victim left the bathroom, and the unidentified man fled on the ferry toward Staten Island.

The victim did not sustain any injuries, according to the NYPD.

The department provided surveillance images of the man sought for questioning. He is described as a male with light complexion who was seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and carrying a red bag.
