Early Addition: A fishy situation causes a NJ power outage

Welcome to Wednesday in New York City where a fish fell on a transformer and caused a power outage for our New Jersey neighbors. An investigation into the Sayreville power outage is still underway, but the theory is that a bird may have dropped the fish on top of the transformer while flying.

Here’s what else is happening:

  • A 28-year-old veterinary technician is suing her boss over claims that the Upper West Side vet forced her to take x-rays, lift heavy animals and clean cat litter boxes (a danger to pregnant people), and then fired her for calling in late due to morning sickness.

  • Cops are searching for a woman who accidentally hit a child in the head with a skee ball after throwing it during an argument.
