Fight!
During special teams drills at the Jets’ joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday, Jets tackle Billy Turner exchanged shoves with several Bucs players – mainly linebacker Lavonte David – after a late hit on running back Michael Carter after the whistle. According to NJ Advance Media reporter Andy Vasquez, the teams have had “six or seven” scuffles during their lone joint practice session.

In addition to the near-fight, Jets defensive backs coach Tony Oden was also carted off and taken back to the building after needing medical attention. It’s unclear if Oden was involved in the scuffle.
Tensions are clearly running high ahead of game day this weekend. The Jets will practice by themselves Thursday and hold a walk-through practice Friday before facing Tampa Bay in Game 2 of the NFL preseason on Saturday at MetLife Stadium.
Asked about the challenges entering Saturday’s game, ex-Jets and current Bucs coach said: “They have Aaron (Rodgers), and they have to deal with that. We’re just trying to get better. We’re not making it a comparison thing. We’re trying to get some work in.”
