Mexico, N.Y. — An Oswego County man was arrested Friday after he was accused of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 11 repeatedly over a five-year span, troopers said.
Matthew D. McLean, 39, was charged with first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony, and two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony, according to a State Police news release on Monday.
McLean is accused of forcing sexual intercourse on the child multiple times per week between 2007 and 2012 in the town of Mexico, troopers said.
McLean was previously arrested last November on child pornography charges. He was charged with possession of a sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
He possessed and uploaded images depicting child pornography, troopers said.
For his most recent charges, McLean was arraigned in Oswego County Court and remanded to the Oswego County Jail on $200,000 cash bail or $400,000 bond, troopers said. He is scheduled to appear in Mexico Town Court at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 19.
The state police do not normally release photos of people accused of crimes. Troopers, who released McClean’s photo, ask anyone with information about him to contact them at 315-366-6000.
