Staten Island home invasion will land defendant in prison. At least one other case ongoing.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A home invasion carried out by a group of young people six months ago on a typically quiet street in New Dorp has landed one of them in prison, while at least one other case remains ongoing.

Jahmein Hewitt, 20, formerly of Lockman Avenue in Mariners Harbor, pleaded guilty Monday in state Supreme Court, St. George, to second-degree attempted burglary in connection with the Feb. 7 incident.
