Manslaughter conviction in Ellenville murder

KINGSTON – A 32-year-old Kingston man pled guilty in Ulster County Court to manslaughter for the 2021 shooting death of a 39-year-old Ellenville man.

The plea by Dominic “Domo” King was in connection with the killing Gerald Keith Richardson on Berme Road in the Village of Ellenville on June 29, 2021.

The two men agreed to meet to talk about a dispute involving family members from earlier in the day and moments after they met, King shot Richardson three times with a .45 caliber gun.

Although the victim had a loaded gun, investigators with the State Police Laboratory determined it was not fired during the incident.

King who was on parole at the time, fled the scene.

He was indicted and over a year later, located in Los Angeles, California by the US Marshals Service.
