Man arrested after firing off rifle from inside Brighton Towers apartment in Syracuse, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man was arrested Thursday night after police said he fired off a rifle from inside an apartment at Brighton Towers.

Officers were called to tower 1 of the apartment complex after a resident reported hearing a gunshot being fired from a seventh floor apartment, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.

While on the seventh floor, officers heard another gunshot coming from the apartment, Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a Syracuse police spokesperson, said in a news release.
