HS football 2023: Meet the Port Richmond Red Raiders, who have revamped their roster — and their field (photos)

Port Richmond head football coach Lou Vesce has made no secret of the fact that his team has been hampered by a limited talent pool and limited numbers. The last few years, the team has also been restricted from using its football field.

But 2023 could, ironically, look like a blast from the past for the Red Raiders.

Port Richmond has nearly 40 players on its roster this season, up from the 30-or-so on last season’s roster. The team, for the first time in four years, also has a home field.
