The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lansing man following a months long investigation into the mishandling of funds from an area business.
Scott Brenchley, 44, of Lansing is accused of acting as the financial controller of a local business, stealing more than $250,000 in the process. The theft took place over the course of a year.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree grand larceny. The charges will be answered at a later date, the sheriff’s office said.
Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is asked to contact the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
