STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The line outside the 121st Precinct in Graniteville seemed to stretch nearly a block down Richmond Avenue on Wednesday afternoon as over 300 children, along with their families, waited for their turn to receive free school supplies.
Children perused the assortment of offerings, many walking away with backpacks, pencils, erasers, and all the other tools a student needs. Beyond distributing supplies, the event also featured tables from the Richmond County district attorneyโs office, Applebeeโs, Con Edison and more.
