Is Yankees’ Gleyber Torres, a Tigers slayer this week, making case for staying beyond 2023 and free agent year?

DETROIT — When it was late July and the Yankees still were hoping they’d catch fire and make a playoff run, the Marlins called about Gleyber Torres. They wanted him badly for their own expected postseason push, a source in Miami told NJ Advance Media and a Marlins scout late confirmed.
