German prosecutors say that a 98-year-old man was present and assisted in the killing of more than 3,300 people at a Nazi concentration camp during World War II, the Daily News is reporting.
The unnamed German is alleged to have worked as an SS watchman at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, located north of Berlin, the report said.
Prosecutors allege that from July 1943 to February of 1945, the man โsupported the cruel and malicious killing of thousands of prisoners as a member of the SS guard detail,โ according to the News.
Since the man was a considered a youth at the time, a juvenile court will have to decide if the case will go to trial.
