STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – It’s only been one month since the signage was stripped from the Burger King drive-thru in New Springville and Whoppers stopped being served there, but a new tenant is already taking claim of 2557 Richmond Ave. According to Department of Buildings (DOB) records and work evidenced at the site, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen will soon be moving into the space.
Located directly outside the Staten Island Mall, the restaurant, which had been occupied by Burger King for years, has been completely gutted and now features Popeyes menus and décor hanging throughout. A new digital drive-thru sign has also been installed, displaying a range of the brand’s chicken offerings.
