Ithaca robbery investigation nets three arrests: Two wanted on previous robberies

Around 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday Ithaca police rushed to the intersection of Geneva and Seneca streets after receiving a robbery report.

The victim described the assailant as a white female with a thin build, standing 5โ€™7โ€ณ with blonde hair, wearing all black.

The female suspect had approached the victim unexpectedly, demanding a personal bag and ultimately forcibly taking it.

Officers, while searching the vicinity, found the victimโ€™s property near an apartment on W. Buffalo Street. Surveillance footage from the apartment complex showed a woman matching the suspectโ€™s description.

Officers then located and arrested 27-year-old Caitlin T. Albrecht, of Ithaca, charging her with third-degree robbery.

Inside Albrechtโ€™s apartment, police also discovered two individuals with active warrants.

Angelina M Ward, was wanted for burglary and trespassing, and was taken into custody. She was held on $1,000 bail.

Meanwhile, Dustin S White, sought for burglary was arrested, then released on his own recognizance after his arraignment.

The Ithaca Police Department is urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
