Sherida K. Sutherland, 74, of Hector, was arrested on Wednesday by the Seneca Falls Police Department in relation to a personal injury crash that took place on July 2.
The subsequent investigation led officers to believe Sutherland was driving under the influence at the time of the incident.
A blood test conducted at a local hospital confirmed their suspicion, revealing that Sutherland was indeed intoxicated during the crash.
She now faces charges of driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC exceeding .08%, and failure to use the designated lane.
Sutherland has been released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court at a forthcoming date.
