Man, 30, accused of slashing victim’s neck in late-night dispute at Staten Island restaurant

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— Nothing good happens after midnight.

A 30-year-old Staten Island man was arraigned Wednesday in state Supreme Court, St. George on charges stemming from a violent altercation inside El Taconazo restaurant in Port Richmond, which authorities say left a complaining victim seriously injured.

Diego Martinez, of 210 Granite Ave. in Mariners Harbor, was indicted recently by a grand jury on charges of second-degree assault and first-degree attempted assault in connection with the Aug. 20 incident, according to court records.
