KINGSTON – A 40-year-old Olivebridge man was sentenced to 12 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision following his June 21 plea of guilty to attempted murder.

On December 30, 2022, in the Town of Rochester, Michael Latimore attacked the victim, hitting him repeatedly on the head with a hammer.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the victim bleeding severely from his head injuries and had to be airlifted to Albany Medical Center.

After attacking the victim, Matimore sent a text message that the victim had a “hammer put through his skull.”
