It’s Thursday morning in New York City and have you ever wondered what’s on the mayor’s reading list?
During Schools Chancellor David Banks’ State of the Schools address on Wednesday, Mayor Eric Adams said he reads two books at a time. Right now, he’s reading “The Fittest (Real) Man in America” and “Breathe.” Exactly which “Breathe” the mayor was referring to was unclear as there are several books with the same title, but “The Fittest (Real) Man in America” is a self-help fitness read about for men about “living at your peak.”

- Join journalist and “Morning Edition” host Steve Inskeep as he discusses his new book “Differ We Must: How Lincoln Succeeded in a Divided America” with WNYC host Michael Hill. In “Differ We Must,” Inskeep explores 16 encounters that Lincoln had throughout his life that shaped the way he approached unifying the country.

- Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine announced a proposal on Wednesday to tear down a portion of the FDR Drive in the Financial District and remove the highway’s unsightly elevated portion to make way for a waterfront green space.
- New York City won’t be a getting a cricket stadium after all. The proposed venue in the Bronx’s Van Cortlandt Park was supposed to host part of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next June, but the event will now be moved to Eisenhower Park on Long Island.
