DeWitt, N.Y. — A tractor-trailer flipped onto its side Monday morning, closing an on-ramp to I-481 northbound in DeWitt.
Around 7:42 a.m., officers responded to a report of a rollover crash just off Kirkville Road, according to Onondaga County 911 dispatch reports. Multiple 911 callers said the driver was trapped inside after the truck rolled over while heading up the on-ramp.
When officers arrived, they said the driver was conscious, but unable to get out of the tractor-trailer, police told dispatchers.
The on-ramp from Exit 5W off of Kirkville Road remained closed as of 10 a.m., according to 511NY alerts. It has been closed since 7:55 a.m.
