On September 19 authorities from the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Williamson, in coordination with the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit and New York State Parole, apprehended 36-year-old Daniel I. Young of Ontario following a child porn investigation.
Young was arrested on charges of Possession of Sexual Performance by a Child, categorized as an E Felony, following a detailed investigation initiated by the FBI’s Smoky Mountain Economic Crimes Task Force.
The probe originated from information relating to Young’s alleged engagement in purchasing child sexual abuse material through peer-to-peer transactions.
A collaborative effort between the state parole officers and state police investigators, involving a standard search, confirmed Young’s possession of the illicit material, leading to his immediate arrest.
Daniel I. Young has been issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to the Town of Ontario Court on October 4, 2023.
