STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Sundog Theatre will honor Heather Butts, Tom Ferrie and Kristin Wallace, Michael Pinto, and Diane Zerega during its gala benefit set for Thursday, Oct. 19 at LiGreci’s Staaten. from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Attendees are being requested to fashion their outfits after their favorite Broadway show.
HEATHER BUTTS
Heather Butts is co-founder of H.E.A.L.T.H for Youths, Inc. a non-profit organization that focuses on college readiness and preparation. Her organization partners with 25 programs each year to help more than 1,000 students achieve their dream of going to college. She also organizes artistic events and food giveaways on Staten Island’s North Shore.
TOM FERRIE AND KRISTIN WALLACE
In 2017, Tom Ferrie and Kristin Wallace co-founded Maker Park Radio, a non-profit community streaming radio station broadcasting worldwide from the North Shore waterfront. The station has created a hub for artists and music lovers.
MICHAEL PINTO
Michael J. Pinto, an attorney, founded the Minty Organization for the Performing Arts in 2010 as a way to honor and give back to the high school theatre community. As executive director, Pinto oversees and implements various educational programs including master classes, cabarets, and college audition workshops, taught by leading Broadway professionals.
DIANE ZEREGA
Diana Zerega is a long-time theatre director, teacher, and actress. She retired from Susan Wagner High School after teaching theatre/directing there and from the Department of Education where she taught at Morris Intermediate School for 27 years. Zerega has been involved in Staten Island theatre for close to 45 years, performing, directing, designing, and costuming.
THE EVENT
