As part of an ongoing effort to enhance safety, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority this week announced the launch of an improved version of its See Something, Say Something app.
The See Say app is intended to give riders a quick and discreet way to report suspicious activity to the NFTA Transit Police, according to NFTA Transit Police Chief Brian Patterson.
“We take the safety of our riders very seriously and this will be another method to ensure that we have officers getting to people as soon as possible,โ said Patterson. “From station upkeep to security, this app is another tool in the toolbox for riders to communicate with us.”
The long-delayed redevelopment of the LaSalle Metro Rail Station and surrounding properties is getting bigger, as the city has agreed to buy another 2.25 acres on Main Street with a closed former day care center.
The app gives user a couple of ways to contact Transit Police via the homepage.
“So, you can go on the website. You can take a snap of our QR code, and the third thing you can actually do is you can text us. If you see something you can text us by texting the number 716-800-4036, and you can text us what you see and report out something,” said Patterson.
