New pedestrian bridge at fort
A new pedestrian bridge was installed Monday, Oct. 9, at Fort de la Presentation Association, providing visitors access to the 300-ft. long peninsula and view of the river. The new bridge was designed by Clarkson University student engineers, and the work was done by TJ Fiacco Construction. Walking across the new bridge are, from left, Fort Board member Marsha Hough, CU Civil Engineer Eric Backus, Fort President Barbara O’Keefe, Fort Board members Tim Cryderman and Craig Ballard, and CU Mechanical Engineer Ron Buckingham.
