The “BET Hip Hop Awards” 2023, dubbed “Hip Hop’s Main Event,” will premiere its annual broadcast on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 9 PM ET/PT on BET.
The year’s biggest and brightest artists will be awarded for their work in film, television, music, sports and more during this heartfelt tribute that will celebrate Black culture during the extravagant production.
The show, which will also mark Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary, was taped from the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, Ga, on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
According to the BET website, this year’s extravaganza will translate into a a non-stop party to be hosted by Grammy nominated recording artist, Fat Joe with performances by GloRilla, Sexxy Red, Fivio Foreign, LL Cool J, Kid Capri and others.

THE 2023 BET HIP HOP AWARDS NOMINEES
21 Savage and Cardi B lead this year’s race earning 12 nods each, followed by Drake with nine nods.
Burna Boy and DJ Khaled landed seven nominations, J. Cole landed six, and Jay Z, Coi Leray and GloRilla are tied at four nominations each.
Other nominees include Lil Uiz Vert, Latto, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, Metro Boomin, DaBaby and Lil Durk.
