Update: Most power outages in Onondaga County from utility pole fire fixed

Update 10:56 p.m.: Most power outages in the Cicero area have been fixed, according to National Grid.

Cicero, N.Y. — More than 5,000 National Grid customers are without power Tuesday night in the Cicero area after a utility pole caught fire.

National Grid estimates that the 5,151 customers without power will have their power restored around 10:45 p.m.

The pole fire was reported around 7:36 p.m. around a Fastrac gas station on Route 31 near Pardee Road, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.

Callers to the 911 center reported wires were down across the road. Police have blocked a portion of Route 31, according to dispatches.
