The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Wayland woman following a fraud investigation.
Moranda Howland, 27, is accused of offering a false instrument for filing to social services between the dates of July 25, 2022 and March 31, 2023.
As result, she received $4,083 that she wasn’t entitled.
Howland was charged with offering a false instrument for filing and grand larceny, both as felonies.
Howland was arraigned and will answer the charges at a later date.
