A 15-year-old boy was stabbed at Edward R. Murrow High School on Tuesday morning, according to the NYPD.
The student was stabbed in the abdomen inside of the 1600 Avenue L building just before 9:30 a.m., a police spokesperson said. Emergency responders rushed the student to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.Â
No arrests have been made in connection to the incident, and officers are still investigating. Police do not yet know if the perpetrator was another student at the school, though multiple outlets reported that cops are searching for a teen who fled the scene after the stabbing.Â
The Department of Education did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
