Police are looking for a trio who allegedly attacked a 13-year-old boy with belts before stealing his sneakers in Sunset Park last week.
According to authorities, at 3:14 p.m. on Jan. 12, three unknown individuals approached a 13-year-old boy on 17th Street and Fourth Avenue and began striking him with belts numerous times about the body.
The trio then forcibly removed the boy’s sneakers and fled into the Prospect Avenue subway station, boarding a northbound “R” train, cops said.
The NYPD released photos of the alleged thieves on Tuesday and are asking for the public’s assistance to identify them.
The first individual is described as a female, with a dark complexion and red braids. She was last seen wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, black pants and black sneakers.
The second individual is described as a male, with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jacket, dark blue pants and white sneakers.
The third individual is described as a male, with a dark complexion and short braids. He was last seen wearing a blue and black jacket, black Adidas track pants, and gray sneakers.

In the 72nd Precinct, where the Jan. 12 incident took place, there have been 15 reported robberies over the past 28 days, according to the latest data from the NYPD.
