Detectives in Brooklyn have caught a suspect in a violent home invasion last week that left one man Tasered and another man shot multiple times, police announced Wednesday.
The search, meanwhile, continues for a second perpetrator in the robbery that occurred at about 12:41 a.m. on Feb. 2 inside a home on the 700 block of 52nd Street in Sunset Park.
Law enforcement sources said two crooks entered the location and confronted two men, ages 41 and 53. They then displayed weapons and demanded money.
Seconds later, cops reported, one of the suspects — identified as Chaoxin Tan, 21, of Quincy, MA — zapped the 53-year-old man with a Taser, while the other suspect discharged his firearm at the 41-year-old man, striking him multiple times in the shoulder and leg.
After wounding the two victims, police saiid, Tan and the other suspect stole more than $4,100 in cash from the location, then fled in an unknown direction.
The incident as reported to the 72nd Precinct. EMS rushed both victims to Brookdale University Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
During the preliminary investigation, police picked up Tan on the morning of Feb. 2 and charged him with attempted murder and three counts of robbery and assault, along with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.Â
Tan’s alleged cohort, police reported, remains at large. He’s described as a man with a light complexion who wore a black bubble coat, black pants and dark-colored sneakers.
