The Badass Animal Rescue is bringing back Woofstock Badass Spring Fest this weekend in Park Slope!
Today, Saturday, May 4, from noon to 5 p.m., President Street (between 3rd Avenue & Nevins Street) will have a full doggie-friendly take-over. The street will be transformed into a hub for dog-loving fun, filled with food vendors, local artisans, activities, and entertainment. Look out for face painting stations, a doggy kissing booth, a magician for dogs, a dog agility course, and so much more.
All are welcome to the free event, celebrating Woofstock Badass Spring Fest’s ninth year running. Highlighting the amazing work of The Badass Animal Rescue, over 30 adoptable dogs will be at the event ready and eager to find their forever homes. You can meet these furry friends at the adoption event held from noon to 3 p.m. A raffle will also be held to support Badass’s ongoing rescue efforts and their lovable pups.
Badass Animal Rescue is a foster-based rescue organization focused on the rehabilitation and adoption of dogs found in high-kill shelters. The organization is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, helping to rescue dogs in rural American South and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Since 2011, the animal rescue has worked tirelessly at their goal of finding loving families for over 3,600 dogs.
Krista Almqvist, Executive Director at Badass Animal Rescue, shares she is thrilled to see Woofstock hit President Street again.
