Cops are still looking for the man they say assaulted a dog walker in Brooklyn Heights on Dec. 30.
The 59-year-old victim said he was walking his dog down Clark Street at 8:50 p.m. when a man began yelling โabsurd things about dog walkersโ at him. The man then approached the victim, punching him in the head and stabbing him in the torso with an unknown object.
The dog walker was treated by EMS at the scene after the perp fled eastbound down Clark Street. Cops say they are checking local surveillance cameras at the scene.
This isnโt the first time a perpetrator has gotten violent with a Brooklyn Heights pup and its handler.
Another neighborhood dog walker was left injured on Nov. 1 after cops say he was hitย over the head with a 4-foot mirror by a man he had confronted for rummaging through garbage cans.
The 39-year-old victim told cops he was walking his dog on Clinton Street after 8 p.m. on Nov. 1 when he saw a man โmessing upโ his neighborโs garbage can. After confronting the man about his behavior, he became irate and struck the victim with a 4-foot mirror that had been left on the curb.
In 2021, a man walking his dog in Fort Greene Park stabbed a 3-year-old dog named Bandit, allegedly telling Banditโs owner, โIโm going fo fโing kill your dog.โ The dog recovered, but faced health hurdles in the aftermath of the attack.
