Firefighters in Borough Park battled a two alarm fire at 1228 47 Street.

Firefighters worked for nearly two hours to extinguish a fire in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon.
FDNY units arrived at 1227 47th St. in Borough Park just after 2:15 p.m. on March 21 to find fire showing from the roof and cockloft areas. The fire heavily damaged two apartments of an attached three-brick building.
In total, just over a hundred firefighters utilized four hose lines to knock down while firefighters pulled ceilings and exposed hidden pockets of fire.ย ย A second alarm was called at 2:45 p.m.

The fire left a resident with minor injuries. Paramedics transported them to a local hospital in stable condition.ย
FDNY Fire Marshals will determine the cause and origin of the blaze.ย
