Three in custody after Brooklyn shooting leaves man critically injured

An 18-year-old man was critically injured after being shot numerous times in Brooklyn on Thursday evening.

At around 5:20 p.m. on March 7, officers from the 73rd Precinct responded to the incident at 1621 East New York Ave. Upon their arrival, cops found the victim lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and one gunshot wound to his neck.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition.

Officers were quickly able to apprehend three males near the location of the shooting scene. The suspectsโ€™ car was also found near the scene of the shooting.

Year to date, the 73rd Precinct has tallied ten shootings. The 73 Precinct is an encrypted zone currently blacked out with nine other precincts in Brooklyn North.ย Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-577-Tips. All tips will remain confidential and anonymous.ย
