Midtown cops cuffed on Monday an apparent panhandler allegedly responsible for stabbing a senior in the Herald Square subway station after he was caught assaulting another passenger, police said.
Police originally sought 38-year-old David Trotman after he was accused of stabbing 76-year-old Iqbal Ahmed in the torso inside the station at around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 13 after the senior refused to give him money.
Ahmed is currently recovering at Bellevue Hospital.
Police reported that they caught up with Trotman at around 3 p.m. Monday on Times Square after he purportedly punched a 42-year-old man aboard a northbound A train. He was charged with assault for this attack.

Trotman has a history of prior arrests and is known to police, NYPD sources said. He was escorted out of Transit District 1 by detectives just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday morning where he rambled incoherently when asked what happened by reporters.
โWhite people are ignorant people, they suck dโck in their sleep, thatโs what happened,โ Trotman said they belligerently.
Trotman is charged with felony assault for his attack onย Ahmed.ย
A GoFundMe has been set up to aid Ahmed.
