Police in Queens are looking for a gunman who shot a woman in the hip following an argument on a bus that spilled onto the street Thursday afternoon.
According to police sources, officers from the 105th Precinct rushed to the corner of Francis Lewis Boulevard and Jamaica Avenue in Hollis after reports that a 19-year-old woman had been shot at around 5:40 p.m. on March 14.
EMS rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where she is expected to survive.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, the victim and shooter were apparently seen arguing aboard the Q110 bus several minutes earlier when they left the vehicle and apparently continued the dispute, leading to the gunfire.
Cops report that the suspected shooter — a man in his 20s — fled the scene southbound on Francis Lewis Boulevard.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
