Movie in the Park, โ€œSonic the Hedgehogโ€ / Sept. 29, 7 p.m.

Enjoy a free outdoor screening of โ€œSonic the Hedgehogโ€ at Conference House Park in Tottenville — brought to you by Councilmember Joseph Borelli and the city Parks Department. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Attendees are encouraged to bring a few non-perishable food items to be collected and donated to local food pantries.

African Cultural Heritage Festival / Sept. 30, 11 a.m.

Join in on the fourth annual Park Hill Annual African Cultural Heritage Festival, themed โ€œAfrica on the Hill.โ€ This event aims to celebrate and showcase the rich and diverse cultures of Africa through food, clothing, traditional dancers, drummers and symbolic music. Members are also encouraged to cookout during the festivities and network with community leaders and organizations.

73rd Annual Fence Show / Sept. 30, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Each year, the Fence Show transforms the Staten Island Museumโ€™s front lawn into an outdoor gallery, featuring local artists and craftspeople. Visitors can explore the art offerings and purchase paintings, ceramics, prints, jewelry and textiles.

Defalco for Paws – Pumpkin Octoberfest / Sept. 30, noon to 4 p.m.

Have a blast at this family fun day — an annual Halloween Fundraiser and Adoption Event For Blakeโ€™s Sake Rescue Inc. Participate in pumpkin decorating, experience face painting, enjoy magic tricks, indulge in tasty food, groove to live music and savor beer and wine.
