A Pennsylvania casino has opened a hotel that only includes upscale suites.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia opened Riversuites at The Battery Philadelphia on Wednesday at 1325 N Beach St. in Philadelphia
The hotel says that the suites are apartment-style accommodations with one-, two- and three-bedroom options. The suites average 864 square feet of space. The largest suite has more than 2,200 square feet of space. In addition to private bedrooms with walk-in closets, each suite includes a seating area with a sofa bed. Every suite has a kitchenette, and several units include patios and bi-level lofts. Many of the 62 suites offer views of the Delaware River.
“The luxury accommodations at Riversuites are a game changer for Rivers Casino Philadelphia,” Eric Althaus, general manager of the casino, said in a news release. “VIPs and out-of-town visitors won’t find penthouse-quality suites with waterfront views like this anywhere else in Philly.”
Riversuites is located inside The Battery, a mixed-use lifestyle campus. The hotel also includes co-working areas, lobby gathering spaces, a billiards table and an indoor basketball court.
The casino’s 22-acre waterfront property connects with The Battery via the Delaware Riverwalk by way of Penn Treaty Park. The two properties are a six-minute walk or a three-minute ride apart, according to the casino. Rivers will run a complimentary 24/7 shuttle with 24/7 security and will offer 24/7 complimentary valet parking. Rivers Casino Philadelphia has eight restaurants and bars, 1,522 slots, 78 table games, 55 hybrid gaming seats, a 28-table poker room and a sportsbook area for live sports betting.
Riversuites is operated by Rivers Casino Philadelphia, which is owned and operated by Rush Street Gaming and its affiliates. Koo Architecture of Chicago designed the Riversuites hotel. Strada of Philadelphia is the architect for The Battery.
More than 1,100 people work at the casino including more than 40 people at the hotel.
