It’s been quite a year for former Staten Islander Danielle Cabral, the newest star of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Premiering on the show’s 13th season on Feb. 7, 2023, the former Westerleigh and Pleasant Plains resident— who even scored 1,000 points playing varsity basketball at Susan Wagner High School — calls the first year of filming “an eye-opening experience.”
The reality star moved to Sayreville, New Jersey in 2012 when she married her husband, Nathan. Together they are raising their children, Valentina, 6, and Dominic, 9.
“It has been absolutely wild,” said Cabral in an exclusive interview with the Advance/SILive.com. “I have been involved in reality TV before but never like this. Putting aside the stress of actually filming the show, the level of fandom in regards to RHONJ is just mind-blowing.”
“We have the best fans and it still surprises me how many people recognize my family,” she added. “The biggest surprise for me was how fast my life has changed. We went from zero to 100 overnight. In just this past year alone, I relaunched my business, The Boujie Mama, created my own line, had a show in NYFW and my kids starred in a Kidzbop music video!”
Admittedly, Danielle’s children are “still young” and faring well with their new-found superstardom and things “have been positive as a whole.”
“People in our town are excited and show us love,” said Danielle. “My kids are still young so their peers just think it’s so cool they are on TV. There is no bullying or unkind words. Our real life is fantastic.
“We love when people come up and say hi— especially my kids. They are just the best! To them, I’m the coolest mom ever. They also have no idea what the show is about so I’m at a really good stage right now.”
