Tired of the daily Aaron Judge injury updates? You may be in luck because it seems like the New York Yankees outfielder may be putting on his pinstripes soon.
Manager Aaron Boone said on the โTalkinโ Yanksโ podcast Tuesday that Judge is โgetting close.โ Boone did not specify a return date, though the hosts mentioned July 25 against the New York Mets and he did not say no.
โHeโs getting close. Heโs doing pretty well,โ Boone said. โThe running progression that heโs going through โ heโs able to do a lot more than even he was a week ago when he was moving in a good direction.โ

Judge has not played since June 3 after tearing the ligament in his right big toe when he slammed into the Dodger Stadium outfield wall while making a catch. The 31-year-old recently started running, taking batting practice on the field and tracking pitches.
Boone did not commit to Judge needing rehab games, but โyou do want to replicate him getting out there for 2 1/2 hours,โ and simulated games could be an option.
NJ Advance Mediaโs Randy Miller reported Tuesday morning on the situation:
Thereโs still no timetable for Judge returning, but his progress the last two weeks seems to be trending toward rehab games by late July or early August. He still has to run full speed and run hard with turns so he can run the bases and play right field. Heโs still feeling some discomfort, too, thus heโll have to manage it once heโs back.
